Braces~ HomestuckXReader (Nepeta Leijon)

 "Yeah, I'm fine..." I sighed. She gave me a questioning look and came over to me, giving me a tight hug. My blush deepened and my heart rate sped up.

 "Is there something bothering mew? I can tail you're not compurrletely alright..." She murmured into my shoulder, flicking her tail over my back comfortingly. "Mew know mew can tail me anything." I sighed. That's just the thing... I thought. I shakily wrapped my arms around the cat-troll, returning her hug quickly. 

 "Yep. I'm okay. I just got these..." I pulled away and opened my mouth so she could see the olive and (f/c) braces. Her eyes widened.

 "(Y/N)! Those look painful! Do they hurt mew?!" Nepeta looked a little upset. 

 "Yes, they do hurt, but there isn't anything I can do about it. But.. I can't eat popcorn anymore!" I sighed melodramatically, throwing my arms up. The Leo looked unsure at first, but failed to hold back another giggle. 

 ...Gosh, she's adorable when she does that! My inner fangirl squealed a little.... Scratch that, everything about her was adorable! The way she always got so excited over the smallest things, the way her oversized trench coat's sleeves were about a foot longer than her arms so they often flopped like rabbit ears, her cute laugh and smile, how open and affectionate she is, her obsession with shipping.... I could go on forever. I don't think this is just a crush... Could it be... Dare I say it...?! Could I be...in love?! The idea gave me mixed emotions. Mostly nervous and happy. 

 I was snapped out of my reverie by Nep pulling me to the couch. She sat down beside me. I noticed a faint olive tint to her slightly freckled cheeks. "I thought maybe we could do something to get mewr mind off those, um, metal things." She glared at my mouth for a moment, presumably at the 'metal things'. I gave a small snort. Nepeta pouted at me a little befur- I mean, before, haha- continuing. (A/N: Oh, reader-chan, Mew really are hopelessly in looove~) "So... What do mew wanna do? We could draw shipping charts...?" She looked up at me hopefully with round eyes. 

 I chuckled a bit. "The shipping charts sound like fun!" 

 Nepeta's face lit up and she gave a fangirl squeal. "Great! Let's go!" The oliveblood grabbed my hand and scampered off to my room, dragging me with her. I smiled, rolling my eyes fondly at the cat-troll's predictable excitability. 

 She let go of my hand and bolted into the room; I could hear shuffling and loud purring. I followed more slowly. By the time I walked in, Nep already had everything set up on the bed. She stared at me intently, waiting for me to join her. This was gonna be fun~

***TIMESKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY DIRK STRIDER SINGING PONPONPON WITH RAINBOW DASH***

 We'd been at this for a while, and I'd just finished drawing my OTP. I sighed, blushing as I looked over it. It was of Chibi me and Nepeta, holding hands and blushing. A large heart behind us and 'OTP' scribbled everywhere.

 Said troll noticed and poked my cheek. "(Y/N)? What ship is that?" Before I could even reply, Nepeta plucked the paper from my hands. Her eyes widened and an olive blush spread across her delicate features. I was too shocked to try and explain, my eyes round as Alternia's moons and my mouth hanging open. Oh FUCK she knows!!! I anxiously watched as she pored over every detail, even tracing the OTP's lightly with her claw. Finally, she turned to me. A happy smile suddenly blossomed on her face as she tackled me. I fell back onto the bed with a yelp, blushing madly. Nepeta HAD landed on top of me, and I was getting very flustered. 

 "OHMIGOSHINEFURTHOUGHTMEWWANTEDTOBEMATESPURRITSWITHMEOMGOMGI'MSOFLUSHEDFURMEWTOOOTPOTP!!!!" She squealed, nuzzling my face and purring loudly. 

 I smiled. I wrapped my arms around her tentatively and leaned up to kiss her cheek. The Leo stopped struggling but continued to purr. She smiled down at me and leaned in to kiss me... I smiled into it. She pulled away and nuzzled into my neck. "Love mew, (Y/N)~," Nepeta murmured drowsily, giving a cat-like yawn as she snuggled into me, content to just lie on top of me, apparently... (A/N: Don't act like you don't like it, Reader-chan~ ;33)

 I tightened my loose grip around her waist. "Flushed fur mew, too, Nep." She smiled at my cat puns; a bit later she fell asleep. Her heartbeat and purring lulled me to sleep as well... I know this ship won't sink... Just as I drifted off, I thought I heard a honk somewhere... Oh well...

***MEANWHILE OUTSIDE*** 

 "Please be quieter, highblood. They might hear us!" Equius whispered to Gamzee from behind the bush. Oh, he totally wasn't being weird and stalking his moirail to make sure nothing '100d' happened with her flush crush.... 

 Gamzee just gave a lazy grin and poked Equius's face. "Poke, motherfucker!"

 Equius's eye twitched. "I need a towel..." Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...
